I first made this site as an assignment for college,

and this page is also part of it! This part contains stories about my real life.

When We First Met.

I’m in my bedroom on a fall afternoon, looking for my online friend at the time. (Who I unfortunately cannot recall the name of anymore) Luckily, my laptop wasn’t broken yet, so it was fairly easy. Although, I was new to ATF8 at the time.

So I tap “Join Game” and spawn in the lobby, before pulling up the in-game map and clicking on their little green icon. Instantly I was teleported to them, specifically them in a tree. I don’t exactly remember why they were in said tree, but I believe it was because (what I would later find out to be) The Syndicate was scaring their OC.

The first characters I saw were Richter and Percival, followed by you. You were playing Carmen Santos at the time, while I played Clovis. Clovis still looked clunky back then due to my shabby character designing skills, but Carmen didn’t actually look too bad for the time. We teamed up against a Giant Sandworm thing before Richter invited Clovis to join the fleet. I remember her (Carmen) being pretty silly at the time (as per usual) but I didn’t really think about it. Afterall, I suddenly was not only a part of a faction now, but a faction with many people who played with ATF, more friends than I honestly had at the time.

Frankly, it was as exciting for me as it was nerve wracking. Of course now though, I don’t regret it at all. I wish I could go back and find that friend, thank them for what they have unintentionally done for me. The joy they brought upon me.

I still think to this day about how lucky that whole interaction was, the timing. We both happened to be online, at the same time, on the same day, on the same server, that I happened to join my friend who also just so happened to be in front of you, etc.

Overall, just a very lucky situation. Yet, at that moment, the both of us had no idea about what we’d be. We just met each other.
